Back from Bend.
Our car broke down on the way down there to see Ween. Most likely the “air mass sensor,” because our mechanic had warned us that it would probably give out some day.
The tow truck dude who showed up was a real decent guy who reminded me of my grandfather. We had a pretty good chat with him in the truck. My roadside assistance paid the way to Redmond, but I decided...

Saw a pair of Steve Maddens yesterday that looked an awful lot like the slew of oxfords that have been popping up on Etsy lately. Looked closer and they looked cheap and tacky.What did I expect?
I love vintage shoes, I do. They’re pretty and seem more ‘real’ than the mass-produced stuff that’s at DSW, Shoemania, etc.

Why I Hate Zooey

This is from some blog. It drives me crazy that people are always imagining Zooey in their little fantasy picture of what she is like and what she does and somehow, she’s always their bestie...
