Break ups, shake ups, divorces?

So many great things have been going on in my business/art/professional life, I haven’t had the time to share any of them here on my Tumblr.

But my personal life has been taking up a lot of my brain power…Matt and I are going out to Portland, & Seattle for two weeks at the end of the summer. He’s completely done with New York, and even though I was born here, I feel like my life here is just beginning. It scares me to think what could potentially happen here.

Lose a man I love, or lose a city I love? Of course, I can always visit New York- and, I wouldn’t be able to visit Matt. But my love affair with New York is so intense, its a serious relationship. It’s a relationship that I’ve been working hard on my entire life, and its finally starting to pay off.

I understand why he is unhappy here, but I don’t think he realizes that he’ll be unhappier in Seattle, or Portland.

I’m just not convinced that he’s going to be a happier more active person if he leaves New York. There is so much to do here, but he doesn’t take advantage of it.

I’m a New York gal, what can I say?
Other than I married a man from Alabama.
I shoulda known nothing good can come of that.

This post was really depressing and kind of disgusting to me. Are you sure you know what “married” means? Of course, I hate New York, but even if I didn’t I think it’s stupid to value a relationship with a city more than your relationship with your husband. If I was him and read that, I would be deeply insulted. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful, by the way, and I bet he would like it a lot more than NYC. Most sane people do! Sorry to diss on you so hard, but you’re basically telling the internet that marrying your husband was a big mistake because you love New York more than him.
