My friend Alice just told me that after you have your baby, the hospital is required to show you a video about not shaking your baby. It sounds like what you’d imagine: “Never shake a baby.  If you become frustrated, set your baby down and walk away.” They used to have ads about no-baby-shaking on the sides of busses in Kamloops. “NEVER NEVER SHAKE A BABY.” I guess it seems obvious, but sometimes you just really wanna shake ‘em! That’s when you remember these lessons. It’s going to be so weird to have a baby.
